According to an exclusive report by Ilgan Sports recently, the second hearing for the 500 million KRW (approx. 370,000 USD) damages lawsuit between LE SSERAFIM’s agency Source Music and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, has been moved to May 30. The previous schedule was March 14, and this reschedule was reportedly due to Source Music submitting a request for postponement last month, which the court approved.

During the first hearing on January 10, Source Music claimed that Min Hee-jin publicly disclosed false information about LE SSERAFIM during her emergency press conference in April last year. It was reported that both parties presented conflicting claims regarding the rights and responsibilities in the casting and training process of NewJeans (NJZ) members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

Additionally, at a separate hearing on March 7, related to ADOR’s injunction request against NewJeans members signing advertising contracts or being managed by another agency, Source Music denied claims that NewJeans had been treated unfairly compared to LE SSERAFIM. On the same day, the NewJeans members attended the hearing despite not being required to be present, actively voicing their stance.

Meanwhile, the delay in court hearing leads to various speculations about Source Music’s decision, with some suspecting that Min Hee-jin has strong evidence that “intimidates” Source Music and requires the agency to make further preparations.

However, many insisted that this is because LE SSERAFIM is set to make their comeback with “HOT” on March 14 – which coincides with the original date. Therefore, Source Music likely just want LE SSERAFIM to have a smooth comeback without be outshined by court news.
