Recently, comedian Kim Dae Hee‘s YouTube talk show invited ITZY‘s Yuna and Chaeryeong to have a friendly chat and share the beginning of her entry into the idol industry.
Yuna revealed that she was cast by a JYP scout on the street while on her way to the bathroom on her way to see her sister’s favorite group, BTOB. At that time, her family only had one TV in the master bedroom, so she didn’t watch TV much, so she didn’t really know much about the idol world. After receiving a business card from the casting team, she decided to audition and spent 3 years as a trainee at JYP before debuting as a member of ITZY.
Yuna also shared that when she was a kid, the only show she watched was the famous comedy show Gag Concert, and she dreamed of becoming a comedian because she thought it would be great to have a career that could make people laugh.
Chaeryeong also had a different beginning. She entered the industry through a K-Pop survival show. Star, along with her older sister Chaeyeon, later debuted with IZ*ONE and is currently a solo artist. Chaeryeong later joined JYP Entertainment and trained for 5 years before finally debuting with ITZY as well.
