On August 18th, a video titled “Fine Lines, Firmness Improvement, Believe It or Not | Looking for that New Skincare Product?” was posted on Han Ye Seul‘s YouTube channel “Han Ye Seul is”.
In the video, Han Ye Seul introduced the cosmetics she personally selected. She resonated with a statement from a letter by the CEO of a skincare brand she recommended, which said, “I’ve always thought that a 100,000-won skin treatment is better than a 1,000,000-won cosmetic product.”
She added, “Honestly, once you reach your 40s, you start to believe that skin will not improve only with cosmetics. No matter how expensive the product is, how much improvement can it really bring? Aging is just aging. So, I completely agree with that point.”
Han Ye Seul also shared that she has seen a reduction in fine lines from consistent use of cosmetics, stating, “I’ve been using it regularly, and it’s truly effective. I can confidently recommend it at this point.”
While discussing the product, Han Ye Seul mentioned, “Many people are getting laser treatments these days, but laser treatments can be too much. If you do them too often, your skin suffers a lot.” She emphasized, “If you think you can skip home skincare routines just because you get laser treatments, that’s a huge mistake. There’s no fairy-tale story where your skin magically improves after one big treatment.“
Reflecting on her 30s, Han Ye Seul said, “In my 30s, my skin could handle a lot even without much effort. I could stay out late drinking with friends, not remove my makeup, and still be fine the next day. But looking back, it was terrible. It turns out it wasn’t fine at all.”
Han Ye Seul explained, “In my late 30s, my skin started having crazy breakouts. My skin barrier had broken down from lack of care, and it finally gave up, leading to a strike. No matter what I did, my skin reacted badly. Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Please, even if it’s just one minute a day, invest in home skincare while you’re still in your healthy 30s.”
Regarding frequent laser treatments, she cautioned, “Your skin gets stressed out too. You absolutely shouldn’t do it often. Anything in excess will cause trouble. I don’t recommend it. Even if there are many good treatments available these days, do them only occasionally.”
