On August 20th, JTBC announced, “Hani decided to step down. The show will air its first episode on September 2nd at midnight with a newly arranged MC lineup.”
“Review Four Cuts” was originally scheduled to premiere on August 12th, but filming had not commenced after Hani’s departure.
Hani’s voluntary exit is believed to be due to the controversy surrounding her fiancé, Yang Jae Woong, following the death of a patient at the psychiatric hospital where he serves as the director. Although EXID recently celebrated their 12th debut anniversary, Hani has remained silent and has refrained from making any public appearances.
Hani and Yang Jae Woong were initially set to marry in September, but the tragic incident at the psychiatric hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province led to a wave of negative comments directed at Hani.
Rumors of a postponed wedding have since surfaced, but Hani’s agency, Sublime, stated that “it is difficult to confirm as it pertains to her private life“.
“Review Four Cuts”, which is set to air in September, is an observational variety show where participants share honest reviews of trending products, items causing a shopping frenzy, and cost-effective products. The show will debut on JTBC4 and will also be available on JTBC2 and TVING.
