Recently, fans of Fantasy Boys were shocked to find out that the group’s official account on X (formerly Twitter) retweeted a comment about a video of aespa’s Karina on August 19th.
The tweet retweeted by Fantasy Boys’s account was a comment by a Japanese netizen about aespa’s recent TikTok challenge video featuring member Karina. In particular, Karina danced to Alaina Castillo’s “Pocket Locket” with two backup dancers.

The Japanese netizen’s tweet was a negative comment criticizing a dancer for her excessive expressions when dancing with Karina and trying to steal the spotlight from the female idol.
At the moment, Fantasy Boys’s account already canceled its retweet.

K-pop groups’ official accounts are often managed by company staff instead of the members themselves. Therefore, many believe that the admin of the official account might have forgotten to switch to their personal account before interacting on X. Fans also urge the company to be careful as such an accident may also affect the members’ image.
Fantasy Boys is a fifth-generation boy group formed through a survival show of the same name in 2023. The group faced controversies ever since before debut and is still struggling to imprint their presence in the Korean entertainment industry.
