A clip of a drama director yelling at ex-WJSN‘s Cheng Xiao has made its rounds online.
Cheng Xiao debuted as a member of WJSN in 2016 before beginning her solo activities in China. She remained on hiatus from the group until March 2023, when her departure was officially announced.
The idol appeared in her first drama, Detective Chinatown, in 2020 and has since continued appearing in different projects, including making her big screen debut in 2021.
She is currently in the works to appear in several dramas this year, including The Story Of The Mystics.
In a clip that has since gone viral on social media, the drama’s director, Guo Jing Ming, is seen yelling at the idol. According to a netizen’s report, he was angry that the former idol had disappeared to fix her costume and even told her to “go back to being an idol.”
