LE SSERAFIM‘s 5th mini album, “HOT,” is set to be released today (March 14) at 1 PM (KST). This album captures the group’s passionate and fearless approach to love. It features five tracks, including the rock- and disco-infused title track “HOT,” the narratively striking “Born Fire” (with Korean, English, and Japanese narration), the emotionally candid “Come Over,” the introspective “Ash,” and “So Cynical (Badum),” a song co-written by members Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, and Hong Eunchae that encourages embracing love without hesitation.

With the album’s trailer, five sets of concept photos, highlight medley, and music video teasers generating buzz, here are three key reasons why “HOT” is one of the most anticipated releases.

The Grand Finale of the ‘EASY-CRAZY-HOT’ Trilogy

“HOT” marks the final chapter in a trilogy that began with “EASY” (released in February 2023) and continued with “CRAZY” (August 2023). This long-planned project has been subtly hinted at through past performances and content.

While “EASY” explored self-doubt and anxiety behind the stage, and “CRAZY” embraced the idea of letting go and embracing madness, “HOT” takes it a step further, diving headfirst into love with a bold and unwavering attitude. This trilogy has not only shaped LE SSERAFIM’s artistic growth but also solidified their presence on the Billboard Hot 100, raising expectations for “HOT”’s chart performance.

LE SSERAFIM’s First Love-Themed Title Track

The title track “HOT,” co-written by Huh Yunjin, is the group’s first-ever title track centered on love. Lyrics like “You’re like a miracle that makes me dream again” and “Don’t be afraid, no doubts, just take my hand” convey a message of diving into love despite uncertainty. To bring out the song’s emotions, the members focused on delivering heartfelt vocal recordings.

The track also stands out as LE SSERAFIM’s most melodic title song to date. Unlike their past performances featuring old-school hip-hop in “EASY” and voguing in “CRAZY,” this time, the choreography highlights individual emotions and expressions rather than adhering to a specific dance genre.

Global Collaborations Showcasing Their ‘World-Class’ Status

LE SSERAFIM continues to collaborate with internationally renowned musicians and brands. Feli Ferraro, who worked on “UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers),” and hitmaker Ali Tamposi contributed to the title track. British band Jungle’s Josh Lloyd and Lydia Kitto participated in producing “Come Over,” blending their signature vintage sound with the group’s ethereal vocals. Additionally, Blizzard Entertainment previewed “So Cynical (Badum)” in a trailer for Overwatch 2, marking LE SSERAFIM’s second collaboration with the gaming giant after their 2023 “Perfect Night” music video.

On March 13th, the group held the “LE SSERAFIM COMEBACK SHOWCASE ‘HOT’” to give fans an exclusive first look at their new performances. From March 14th, a special pop-up event, “LE SSERAFIM 2025 S/S POP UP – THE HOT HOUSE,” will be open at PLAZ2 in Seongsu-dong, further immersing fans in the album’s concept.
