According to the report released on March 21, Bang Si-hyuk received a total of 988 million KRW (~740,000 USD) in compensation last year. Notably, Bang received no base salary, maintaining his previous stance on responsible management. His income came solely from performance incentives amounting to 980 million KRW, and an additional 8 million KRW in other employee benefits.

The performance-based bonus reflected his contributions to HYBE’s global strategies, including the debut of new artists and overseas expansion.
Meanwhile, former CEO Park Ji-won saw a significant increase in earnings. His total compensation for 2023 reached 2.33 billion KRW (~1.75 million USD), a 53.3% jump from 1.52 billion KRW the year before.
Park’s income consisted of:
- 998 million KRW in base salary,
- 1.33 billion KRW in performance bonuses,
- 2 million KRW in other compensations,
- And an additional 1,942 Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) granted as part of executive incentives.
According to HYBE, executive compensation is determined by the Compensation Committee under the Board of Directors. Salaries are calculated based on leadership, contribution, and responsibilities in areas such as innovation, collaboration, and organizational management. Incentives are awarded based on business performance, strategic achievements, and growth indicators.
In the same period, the average salary of HYBE employees increased slightly to 106 million KRW, compared to 100 million KRW in 2022. A breakdown by gender showed male employees earned an average of 139 million KRW, while female employees received 91 million KRW on average.
