In a candid and humorous exchange, LE SSERAFIM’s Sakura revealed an unusual clause she included in her HYBE contract—specifically asking not to be made the group’s leader. The revelation came during her appearance alongside Kim Chae-won on Kim Jae Joong‘s YouTube talk show Re-Chingu, uploaded on May 22.
When asked about English speakers in the group during a discussion about their world tour, Sakura pointed to Huh Yunjin, explaining, She speaks English well because she lived in the U.S.”

This led to laughter as Kim Jaejoong joked about the perks of being in a multinational group, also bringing up Chaewon’s now-iconic “dododok” meme, a stammered mispronunciation of “Be my colleague” during a performance of “Fire in the Belly.”
Jaejoong playfully asked why the narration “Be my colleague” existed in the song at all, to which Chaewon casually replied, I think it was Mr. Si-hyuk’s idea.”

Amid the jokes, Jaejoong expressed concern for the duo’s health, noting their slim physiques. Both Sakura and Chaewon assured him, “We really eat a lot,” citing their rigorous routines with Pilates and personal training.
Sakura then dropped a surprise—she had requested not to be the leader when signing her contract with HYBE:
“I actually didn’t want to be a leader… So I literally asked them to put ‘Don’t make me the leader’ in my contract.”

She also revealed a quirky habit of taking selfies while crying, explaining,
“I think people look the prettiest when they cry. If I tear up while watching a drama or reading, I pause to take a selfie, admire the mood, then keep watching.”
Kim Chaewon chimed in, saying she also checks herself in the mirror when on the verge of tears, to which Kim Jaejoong exclaimed,
“It’s amazing that you take photos while crying. People are really diverse.”
The lighthearted episode gave fans a rare peek into the personal thoughts and habits of Sakura and Kim Chaewon, offering both laughs and relatable moments.
