On June 11, BTS members Jimin and Jungkook were officially discharged from the 5th Artillery Division and greeted fans with warm smiles at Yeoncheon Stadium.
Jimin expressed his feelings, “From COVID-19 to my enlistment, it was a long time. Thank you for waiting for us. Now I feel like we can continue to paint the future I dreamed of and come back as a better version of myself.” He added sincerely, “This is my first time enlisting, and to be honest, it wasn’t an easy place.”
Jungkook also said with a little embarrassment, “It’s been a long time since I’ve been in front of the camera, and I didn’t wear any makeup today. I feel embarrassed and don’t know what to say. The juniors and seniors who were discharged a little earlier than us must have a hard time because they have to be with us.” (laughs)
Previously, RM and V were also discharged on June 10. The last BTS member still serving is Suga, who is scheduled to be discharged on June 21.
