According to the Korea Exchange, as of 11 AM on March 18th, YG Entertainment’s (hereinafter referred to as YG) stock price is trading at 44,550 won, up 3.48% from the previous trading day. On this day, the stock price rose by as much as 5.92% (to 45,600 won) right after the market opened. While HYBE and JYP Entertainment are showing a downward trend and SM is experiencing a slight decrease, YG’s upward trend stands out.
On this day, YG’s executive producer Yang Hyun-suk introduced BABYMONSTER’s first mini-album in a video posted on the official blog and firmly set the official debut date for the full group as April 1st, the album release date. According to Yang Hyun-suk, the album includes a song directly produced by the world-renowned pop star Charlie Puth for BABYMONSTER.
What makes BABYMONSTER’s upcoming activities more noteworthy is that it will be the first full-scale activity of all seven members. With the core member Ahyeon joining the team’s activities after a brief exclusion due to health reasons, the full group is finally making their official debut. During the two previous song releases, BABYMONSTER did not engage in music shows or fan meetings. However, ahead of this debut, BABYMONSTER is targeting the global market by holding fan meetings in five Asian regions including Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
It is anticipated that BABYMONSTER will showcase their influence through their first mini-album “BABYMONS7ER”, following in the footsteps of BLACKPINK. BABYMONSTER consists of seven multinational members including Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora and Chiquita.
