The K-pop girl group NewJeans will become the face of Korean tourism this year
According to the music and tourism industries on July 3rd, the girl group NewJeans was recently appointed as the ‘2024 Honorary Korea Tourism Ambassador’ by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).
Making their debut in 2022, NewJeans gained huge popularity by releasing numerous hit songs such as “Attention”, “Hype Boy”, “Ditto”, “OMG”, “How Sweet”, etc.
Earlier this year, there was a dispute between Min Hee-jin, CEO of NewJean’s agency ADOR, and the parent company HYBE, however, the group still showcased their unrivaled popularity by selling out their shows at Tokyo Dome in Japan.
The ceremony to officially announce the appointment of NewJeans as Honorary Ambassador for Korea Tourism will take place this month.
