    (G)I-DLE’s agency issues official apology over controversial stage outfits.

    On July 22 KST, Cube Entertainment told Dispatch, “We recognize the issue with the stage outfits and have contacted the Korean Red Cross to apologize.”

    The agency has also taken follow-up measures. They stated, “We are actively consulting to prevent recurrence and address follow-up actions regarding the unauthorized use of the Red Cross emblem.”

    Cube Entertainment once again extended their apologies to the Korean Red Cross. “We sincerely apologize to all the concerned parties who experienced discomfort,” they said.

    On July 19 KST, (G)I-DLE performed their title track “Klaxon” from their 7th mini-album “I SWAY” on KBS-2TV‘s “Music Bank“. The concept for the performance was lifeguards, and the members wore outfits with the Red Cross emblem. Some questioned whether this violated current laws.

    The issue arose because the use of the Red Cross emblem without authorization is prohibited. According to Article 25 of the Korean Red Cross Act, the emblem cannot be used without the approval of the Red Cross.
