On July 11th, the “2024 Korea Tourism Honorary Ambassador Appointment Ceremony” was held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Yongsan-gu, Seoul

Previous honorary ambassadors have included BTS in 2022 and Lee Jung-jae in 2023, representing the pinnacle of Hallyu stars of their time. This year, NewJeans has been appointed as the honorary ambassador, and they attended the appointment ceremony, though member Hyein was absent due to health issues.

Minji, Danielle, Haerin and Hanni made their entrance under dazzling lights, posed confidently, then took their seats to discuss Korean tourism.

Before the conclusion of the ceremony, a commemorative photo session was held with mascots representing Korean tourism. The members were visibly delighted, continuously patting and holding the large mascot costumes.

Additionally, holding the mascots’ hands, the members exhibited a charming, girlish fascination with the cute characters, gazing at them for an extended period.

Meanwhile, NewJeans recently attracted a total of 91,200 fans at their Tokyo Dome fan meeting “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome” held on June 26th~27th. Starting with KBS2’s “Music Bank” on July 12th, they will also be performing their Japanese single “Supernatural” on Korean music shows such as MBC’s “Show! Music Core”.
